Oh of course, it's just SO f*ckin easy to learn, isn't it!!
There should be no emphasis on learning ANY skill 'fast' - it should be done 'properly'! Can you imagine advertsing 'LEARN MEDICINE FAST!'...
Jeez...

Someone who has done this course might want the motorcycle battery company job!

The advert looks pretty crap, probably says alot about the course. I've done 3 years at art college, and in now my final year of FdA, and now they say you can do it all in 3 months (from scratch). PAH!

This is due to our "fast pass", quick check-out, instant gratification culture.
College is overrated anyway. Just ask Carlos Segura.

I was just about to defend that, thinking that there are lots of non-designers out there who have a certain level of graphic design requirement who could benefit from a lightweight course. Say, a house manager who prepares proposal documents or needs an inexpensive cover for a battery company and just a very simple piece of elegant type might do. But then I read the text. Bollocks.

Maybe we should send our clients on it...
...um, maybe not.

Boy or boy! I feel quite the same about the interior design industry. I find that many housewives are out there after one 8-week course soliciting themselves as designers. No, they are not. They are decorators. Big difference!
I do believe people have a knack for something and if they add to that skill, then you've got dynomite! If you don't, it's all just fun and games and you might get real lucky with a few clients but when it comes to the details you'd better watch out!
My son is a graphic designer and there is no way that I could ever believe that he could pull that course off with all that he's shown me over the years. He manages all my sites and edits my writes and I know it's not easy. He definately has the gift but he's also working on his craft daily. As I.

oh I remember seeing that ad on the tube, all I could feel was my blood boiling, it didn't help that the day that I saw it was the day that I had to amend another so called design companies work. I work at this company where I am the only graphic designer my boss decided to outsource some of the work to these idiot's.
The document was full of TYPO'S, UN-ALIGNED BOXES, URGHHHH! it made me sick just looking at it, the girl who did it probably went on that bloody course!
I mean I am not the greatest designer but I do try and make sure the boxes are well aligned, tables are tables, line breaks fall where they should, orphans and widows are checked!
At times like this I wish I worked in a design agency instead of with buffoons who have no idea about design.
